REMINDERS

1. Necessary overseas driving license

Apparently your original driving license is needed to prove your qualification since there’s no exam.

If you have no driving license, you need to take exams and get a Chinese Driving License.

Categories of vehicles operated in China depend on your original license. So if the permitted driving type of your driving license is a small vehicle, for example, then you are not allowed to ride motorcycles in the country.

2. Concrete Identity Certificates

According to the regulations, identity documents for exit-entry refers to:

  • Passport or other travel permit held at the time of entry;

  • Valid visa or stay/residence permit with a stay/residence period of over 3 months;

  • Proof of stay registration issued by the local public security department.

The validity term of the license will be for a minimum of 3 months and can be extended to a year if the holder will stay for more than three months.
