The completion ceremony of Shenzhen’s new convention and exhibition center was held on Sept 28, which means that the center finally comes into use after the 3-year construction. 

The Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center (Shenzhen World) is located in Shenzhen Airport New Town, Bao’an District, which lies at the top of the Greater Bay Area and in the center of the Pearl River Delta and Guangdong Free Trade Zone. 

It is reported that the center will be the world’s largest upon completion of the second phase project and the largest single building ever built in Shenzhen. 

Shenzhen World will reach 500,000 ㎡ of indoor exhibition space once Phase 2 is complete, becoming the largest exhibition venue in the world. 

Phase 1 covers an area of 1.21 million ㎡with a gross floor area of 1.6 million ㎡, delivering 400,000 ㎡ of purpose-built and flexible exhibition and event space. 

As a large-scale comprehensive complex for exhibitions, conferences, performances, games and catering businesses, Shenzhen World provides its customers with an international arena with unlimited business opportunities. 

ENTRANCES & CORRIDOR

The main entrances to Shenzhen World include: 

• South entrance, 

• South Lobby, 

• North Lobby. 

The dual-level central corridor runs the full length of the exhibition center, providing access to any of the exhibition halls and entrances. 

5 entrances and exits assigned evenly from south to north, including two separate metro stations, make the venue highly accessible to visitors and exhibitors. 

EXHIBITION HALLS

The 1.75 km long central corridor connects 19 symmetrically arranged halls, including: 

• 16 Typical Halls,

• 2 Specialty Halls, 

• 1 Mega Exhibition Hall. 

FUNCTION SPACES

There are totally 106 meeting rooms of different sizes, 47 VIP rooms, 2 Ballrooms (South & North) that can be separable into smaller rooms, and a Plenary Hall and Event Center Hall. 

SUPPORTING FACILITIES

Covering an area of 1.54 million ㎡, Expo Bay will envolve into a new urban center of Shenzhen, providing one-stop services for exhibition organizers and visitors from around the globe. 

4 areas of hotels cover 250,000 m², accommodating more than 4,000 rooms. 

Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental confirmed their establishment. Crowne Plaza has already sealed the roof. 

Besides, there are over 50 Four-Star & Five-Star existing hotels congregated within 20 km from Shenzhen World.

Shenzhen World is adjacent to Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and Fuyong Port and close to Guangzhou-Shenzhen highway. You can get there: 

• BY AIR

7 km to Shenzhen Airport T3; 

3 km to Shenzhen Airport T4; 

Only 75 km to HK Airport. 

• BY FERRY

Fuyong Port close to Shenzhen World is only 40 minutes to HK, Macao and Zhuhai by ferry. 

• BY ROAD

Served by 2 highways, S3 (Yanjiang Hw), G4 (Guangzhou-Shenzhen Hw); and 

1 expressway (Haibin Blvd). 

 

• BY METRO

 

Served by 2 metro stations on line 12 and line 20; only 2 stations from Shenzhen Airport via line 20; connected to line 11 and the intercity transport hub; line 12 will open in 2022, with a transfer stop on line 2 in Dongguan City.
