Attention! These RMB Notes and Coins Can’t Be Used Anymore!

Approved by the State Council, the People’s Bank of China decided to stop the circulation of the fourth set of RMB 100 yuan, 50 yuan, 10 yuan, 5 yuan, 2 yuan, 2 jiao and 1 jiao coin (hereinafter referred to as “the fourth set of RMB types”) on the market since May 1, 2019.

RMB 100 Yuan notes. 

With blue and black dominant hue, the facade pattern is embossment of four leaders in China, included Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi and Zhu De. The background is Jinggang Mountains.

RMB 50 Yuan notes. 

With dark brown and black dominant hue, the facade pattern is the head portraits of worker, farmer and intellect. The background is Hukou Falls of Yellow River.

RMB 10 Yuan notes. 

With blue and black dominant hue, the facade pattern is the head portraits of people of Han nationality and Mongolia nationality. The background is Qomolangma.

RMB 5 Yuan notes. 

With brown dominant hue, the facade pattern is the head portraits of people of Zang nationality and Hu nationality. The background is The Yangtze river wu gorge.

With green dominant hue, the facade pattern is the head portraits of people of Uyghur nationality and Yi nationality. The background is South hainan tianyi column.

With dark red dominant hue, the facade pattern is the head portraits of people of yao nationality and Dong nationality. The background is the Great Wall.

RMB 2 Jiao notes. 

With blue and green dominant hue,the facade pattern is the head portraits of people of Bouyei nationality and Korean nationality. The background is national emblem.

RMB 1 Jiao coin. 

Made of aluminum magnesium alloy, its facade pattern is the national emblem, the name of the country, the name of Chinese spell and the number of years. The reverse side is chrysanthemum and denomination.

Exchange period of 

the fourth set of RMB types.

Until April 30, 2019, the holder of the fourth set of RMB can make the exchange at the branches of the banking financial institutions. Check to see if you have any of these notes or COINS on hand. If so, please hurry to the bank to exchange it!
